The staff is faithfully dedicated to their goal of directing students to freedom from the bondage of addiction through Jesus Christ and producing productive members of society who not just make an honest living but also serve their community.

Life Challenge of Amarillo is an amazing Christian residential ministry for men with addiction problems. It is a one year discipleship ministry where the primary focus is to help men surrender their lives to Jesus Christ and establish a true relationship with God. Through classes, Bible Study, one on one discipleship and other resources, Life Challenge helps equip these men with the tools they need to develop a new mindset, outlook and habits. They teach the men to deal with their emotions and the struggles of life without using alcohol, drugs, pornography or other unhealthy means. It is run by Daniel and Tracy Spitler, a wonderful Godly couple, along with a strong Christian board made up of men of character from many different churches in Amarillo. They have a great team of Godly men, also from different churches in Amarillo who serve as teachers, counselors and mentors to the men. We have been privileged to see this ministry operating up close, while our son was a student there, and we are impressed with the openness, character and integrity of Life Challenge. We are grateful for all they have done for our son to equip him to make the life changes he had been unable to make for many years. He has now become an intern with them and they continue to pour into his life even after graduation. I highly recommend Life Challenge of Amarillo for men seeking to truly be set free from addiction. It is hard work, but there is a great team willing to work hard with them and for them if they're willing to put in the work!

I have personally seen many lives changed through this faith based program. It fills my heart to see family’s reunited with loved ones who they’ve thought they lost. Men, who through Christ, are changed. Brought out of the boundage of addiction and able to be the fathers, husbands, sons & brothers that they’ve always wanted to be. This program is challenging for the men. Changing your life, your way of thinking, putting your trust in God is hard. I know the hearts of the staff of life challenge. I see how much it hurts them when someone gives up and leaves. I’ve seen tears of frustration and of hope with the students of life challenge. I’ve watched students declare their love of Jesus and be baptized. I’ve watched students graduate and cry tears of joy because they know their lives are forever changed. All in all, no this program is not for everyone. This program is for men who are ready to turn to Christ and change their lives forever.

It has been a blessing over the last few years to see this ministry work in those battling with addiction. From the testimonies shared by the students and the messages brought by them and thier leaders. I have seen God do amazing things through this ministry. My husband is a changed man and a Godly man because of what he was taught here and how they helped him grow. He had a choice to leave sober or leave sober and be changed. Even though he is a graduate his leaders still show love and support to him and me. They took time to be there for us on our wedding day. Any time we see them they show us love and support.
