I went here for a year and was getting two weeks take home went to hospital to have both legs amputated below the knee and they kicked me out while I was in the hospital they said cause I was gone for 30 Days. Even though they approved it in the hospital So I have withdrawald while going through the loss of my legs.
The only clinic then how would ever go to... They are the most generous and kind warm-hearted people and they actually care.... I have nothing but good things to say about them........
Best clinic I ever been to they actually care bout you an Kathy the best sweetest nurse an the other nice is nice to definitely love my clinic
I've had the pleasure of being a client twice at Katharos. The first time was for a period of about 1 year ending approximately 2 years ago, and again for the last 3 months. The first time I was a client, I transferred from another Asheville clinic and was immediately struck by how warm, friendly and caring Katharos was compared to where I had come from. I felt like I mattered for more than the money I pay and that I was not just another "scumbag addict" but was a human being. As someone who has been in recovery for many years, I have often felt judged and scorned, often by those claiming to want to help me. Due to transportation issues (I live in Johnson City, Tennessee... 60 miles away), I had to leave Katharos. I couldn't wait for an opportunity to get back though, and I recently got that opportunity. The warm, family atmosphere is still there. There have been a few policy changes since I left, likely in response to clients taking unfair advantage of the kindness of Cathy and the other staff members. But I am thrilled to be back. Every staff member is wonderful imho. I especially like "Doc", who has been my counselor both times. Now that I'm back, I can't see myself ever leaving again as long as I am in Treatment. I would eagerly recommend Katharos to anyone wishing to enter Treatment or to anyone unhappy with the clinic they attend currently. One more thing Katharos has going for it is the fact that it is eady to get to as it is probably less than 2 miles and a straight shot from I-26. If I had to criticize the clinic, I would suggest that they stay open longer on Saturdays as they are open from 6:30 am until 9:00 am and if one were to oversleep even slightly, one could easily miss them being open. I would like to see them stay open until 10 am on Saturdays. Thank you for reading this. If you are thinking of entering Treatment then Congratulations as it is the best decision I have ever made.
