I don’t know where to start to describe how amazing our time at Deerhaven was. Glenda, the house manager, was so helpful in answering all of my questions and helping me plan our weekend there. She probably did 5 house tours between me and my family, taking time to explain all of the intricacies of this incredible house. She made sure everything was perfect for the weekend. Holden, the butler, was so much fun to talk with and did everything from helping us put together a keyboard to making an amazing cappuccino. Liliana is the head housekeeper and her warmth and kindness was felt at all times, whether she was present or not. I think my son wanted to be adopted by the end of the weekend as he gravitated to her genuine caring spirit. The people we met were what made the weekend unforgettable, but I can’t forget to describe the house. Each bedroom is an experience, with unparalleled views, bathrooms with the finest stonework and showers, walking paths to take in the mountains, and waterfalls all around the house to sit near and relax. The weather was amazing and allowed us to open the walls of windows and make the house truly open. My kids’ favorite parts were the old school video games, pool table, and lattes. It was a time for my family to come together, and it was perfect. My family could have private time in their rooms and come chat in the kitchen. We made so many memories there. It is the perfect place for a family gathering. We even got to enjoy on-site massages from Angie, who is a master. Our food was catered by chef Blake Lewis, who did a fantastic job. Each meal was truly delicious and exactly what we wanted. My son loved learning how to use the hibachi. There is not one thing about the weekend I would change except I wish I had taken more pictures. This is an amazing place that I will never ever forget.
